Marlo Treit and I attended the celebration of life for our friend Stan Richardson. It was at the Oregon
Air National Chapel in Portland, OR.
The people that have attended the Bonneville NW Reunion would have met him as he chatted with BC Thomas,
the pilot with the most flying ours in the SR-71. It was an amazing chat. BC asking about P-38 and P-51s
and Stan asking about the edge of space in a high Mach airplane.
Stan made three flights over Normandy Beach in a P-38 on D Day. The service was 70 years to the day since D Day.
He was an example of a man that lived life to the fullest and it was our pleasure to be considered his friend.
