Mike, sometimes Deist (and probably other manufacturers) have trade-ins or suits with out-dated sponsorship on them for a fraction of new cost.
Also, try RacingJunk.com which is a great place to buy and sell.  They even have a Landspeed Racing section!
Just make sure it is plenty roomy in the waist/crotch/thigh and armpit/sleeve area.
As my body has "matured" I can barely move with my finely "chiseled" physique jammed into my shrunken suit (both fire and birthday)!
One mistake I made was not having them measure me in a low sitting position like my race car seat.
One more note, Deist was good enough to add two more inches to the pants side seams  after I spent a couple of years in misery in the car, so keep in mind that a SFI-20 suit CAN be altered by the manufacturer at a later date.
                                                                                                                      Bob

Yes, thanks, John!

And, Bob, your, ah, advise was indispensable.

One more item on THE LIST taken care of.  Only 7,324 (give or take) items left to take care of; barely more than 100 a day.

He is actually only 5' tall. He "claims" the 9" is another part but I am doubtful about that claim...................
