I've never been to Normandy but I did visit the American cemetery in Luxemburg where General Patton is buried. Looking at all those thousands of grave markers is a sobering and humbling experience.

I actually stood by one of the bunkers on the beach. Actually up the hill.

It was a quiet morning in mid June and there was a guy walking his dog.

Makes you think.
