Dzus Tools....
« on: June 06, 2014, 06:01:58 PM »
I've added a couple pages for some Dzus tools I've made recently and in the past.  Some...

... are copies of what I've seen that you can buy.

The one above I copied from one that John Kimbrough, did most of the body work on Hooley's Stude, made and....

..... the one above I hadn't seen but I'm sure someone has done something like it.  All of these you can make in an hour or less.

More on the first 3 here...

... and the last one has a page about it here....

Hopefully these will help someone else,

Sum

Sum;

It's called a "Hole Duplicator" and aircraft guys have been using them since the 30s.

Yea, I've seen those but hadn't seen one that was made specifically to be held in a dzus spring mount with a dzus fastener, but as I said I'm sure this has all been done many times.  Just wanted to show how easy it is to make this stuff,

As they say Sum, "Necessity is the Mother of invention." Sometimes, though it's just a mother.  :-D

Your tool looks like it could be commercialized-- patent it!

For a long time I have wanted a Dzus spring adjuster but can't justify the price. Your pictures just gave me an idea how too make one. Always learn something hear.

I'm sure most do like I did , pick the longest Dzus needed on the body and space the springs back on the others so every button on the body is the same .
