Sure miss the Buddfab.  Has it run lately at MC meets?

John made the nose/water tank for the Ack Attack so we knew exactly how big it was.

The Buddfab Streamliner was designed to be as small as we could see out of; without using a periscope.

The computer models are accurate. I made the Ack liner computer model as a master for a Limited edition 1:20 scale desktop model and for some CFD studies for Mike. The Buddfab computer model links to the master model John and I used for the streamliner body molds.

The vehicle was retired after we won the El Mirage motorcycle points championship at the end of 2009.

We ended up with four FIM motorcycle records (we set the 100cc record twice) and nine El Mirage records. We each hold about half of the records. So far none of the Buddfab Streamliner records have been broken.

FIM 50cc 144.891mph
FIM 100cc 155.513mph
FIM 125cc 187.646mph

YEP, like I said, it is pretty small...
Thanks for that comparison it takes the deception out of picture angles.

Wow I guess the pics are really deceptive. Ive never seen any of the streamliners in person so I didnt have a reference.

Eric, just curious .... what are the respective volumes and surface areas?

BTW, I wanted to do a 50cc Yamaguchi liner in the '70s but no sponsors were interested in 3 cubic inches!  :-(

The Buddfab accomplishments are technically as [maybe more?] spectacular than the quest for 400 mph!

It had a deep clear coat over raw carbon cloth.

More great pics. Thanks Eric.

Painting clear on Carbon is the biggest PITA I know of. The pin holes will drive you nuts. :-D

Stainless, you know as well as I do that the sign isn't the "real" one.  This one hasn't got nearly enough bullet holes in it.
