Yep, hard to beat the simplicity of an SU carb for that application. They're a vairable CFM carb so it will never be too big, if one is too small, use two. They will also react to blower pulse if you use a two rotor blower & help reduce fuel pooling.
You should have them on old Volvo's in your neck of the wood's Mate. Early one's had a jet adjuster on the bottom.
Same goes for CD Stromberg carbs, you'll have them there too. CD-175 (1 3/4 inch) was common on Volvo's.

Bugs, the information on the RB Racing website might be a big help.  There are a bunch of links to info about turbo applications.  It is Harley stuff but a fellow can apply the general principles to other applications.  They discuss some of their earlier work with carbs.  They use EFI now.

Thanks for all the advice guys  :-)
I have that Dellorto, and another friend of mine has a Mikuni 40mm from a HD.
As for now, I think I will try that Dell, but will look for a SU or Stromberg. I am a bit familiar with that Stromberg. Used one of those on my VW bug, blow throug, from a 2.1L Volvo.
The supercharger will arrive from Japan today.

Bugs, what about a blow through carb setup like they had on the Yamaha turbo 650's?  It has much less "grenade' potential if you have a backfire.  Also, the intercooler can be mounted upstream from the carb and you will not have fuel condensing out of the mixture in the cooler.
