Legal seat
« on: April 27, 2014, 07:59:33 AM »
I need some advice on the seat on the bike I am bringing over for BUB.
In Aus we use SCTA rules and a mate has had problems with the seat in non streamlined class before.
I'm going to run in A-G.
The rule is specific about the seat to tail height and being able to see the rear wheel but not specific about the tail.
The seat is cut to be vertical of the rear tire.
The seat is as wide as my rear end

I want to race at BUB and WoS with the minimum of changes

Thanks

Bones, how high above the seat is the tail?  You may need to go back and read the AMA rules online... about 10 or 20 times.  Drew is on here, he may be able to help

Hey Stainless
I know the seat to tail is a bit big at the moment-- 5" is in the book.
That's easy   I need to make an add on for a mate who is shorter than me so he can reach the bars.
The width is the main concern-- I really just need to know if I need to narrow the seat

If I was to build a sidecar it would be a rear engine kneeler
