Strange "Welcome" email
« on: April 21, 2014, 10:28:13 PM »
Folks,

I got one that said:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To:  Belly Tank Lakester - Welcome to Landracing.com,

Good day! Could you check below hot sale products brand new mini jump starter.

It can help you to start your car when car has no electricity.  (etc etc) ......

---------------------------------

It had a couple attachments which I knew better than to open.

Anybody else seen anything like this?

Thanks,
Bob the Web Elf

Bob, not seen that one, but just sent emails to a couple of my friends with the email they supposedly sent.
I don't open attachments unless the links lead to the same link that is written AND it is to something like utube or another major website.
Most of the time my provider flags then as dangerous spam and just warn the email account holder that they have been hacked

Be careful what you open guys

Strange that it was addressed to "Belly Tank Lakester" but I got it.  Maybe this was just a one-off thing because my name is associated with the site.  I hope so.
