I think it is time to stop throwing down off beat combinations and get back to helping Buddy move his Chevy. I, for one, want to see that engine run over 200.

Me too, Dan. I'm disappointed that it's getting split up. I was looking for Buddy to get a red hat with it.

The Hodges Brothers ran the red Camaro with the 351 for a while. Tommy got the EM 200 club hat in the car. The late Captain Billy Hodges raced with Mike Cook for many, many years.

This may have been the run - the car sounded glorious . . .

Well Doug, I better go fast in August then, huh?

Buddy,
Didn't I hear some where that you were talking to the "Valley Fever" guys about wedging your Caddie into their liner?

Buddy - it's been a long build thread - and this is still the coolest top chop of any late thirties Chevy I've ever seen.  Do you have other body panels left over from this?  Maybe post up some pics of any spares?

Cheers!

Back on topic---
Maybe some more info would help get it sold...

Estimated Cd? What body classes it's legal for?
Estimated HP to get it past 2 bills @ Bonneville?

Buddy- wish you luck with the sale. Everytime
I wear the Quest 200 shirt people ask about it,
hope that you get there before it sells!

Thanks for the kind words and support!

Depending on engine choice, the car could be legal in /VGALT, VFALT, BVFALT, BVGALT, /GALT, /BGALT, /FALT, /BFALT, /GCC, /BGCC, /FCC, and /BFCC. The car currently holds 3 records at B'ville, and 2 at the Ohio Mile.

I believe 650HP will drive the car at 200+ MPH, but we’ll see at Bonneville.

The car will pass tech at 200+ MPH, and is long course qualified.

The car comes with 2 4-link front ends, one for altered, and a narrow one for comp coupe. Car has a Halibrand Champ QC, Rankin 4 speed tranny, intercooler chiller box, 4 link rear setup, custom front fiberglass front and hood for comp coupe, and stock front and hood for altered classes.

All of the details are in the build thread, but you can always PM me with specific questions.

If the car doesn’t sell, we’ll continue to run it for a few years, while we get a ‘liner ready!

Potential buyers should remember that this weekend is a chance to see the car in person.

Buddy, Ruth, Hooley and I are going to be at EM this weekend and if you haven't talked to John he is also planning on being there with Brenda.  Hope to see you there and come by our place on the way to Colorado afterwards (not too many more miles),
