the fire sleeve should cover the rubber, woven or SS portion of the hose vulnerable to flame exposure up to the aluminum part of the fitting be it a push on barb style or reusable AN. I would not clamp the fire sleeve with the hose. the fire sleeve should go over the hose and clamp. We use some stainless steel zip ties we found at Lowes to synch the fire sleeve down over the hose and clamp. With that said the sleeve needs to be large enough to slide over the clamp. We have used a larger diameter on the ends and slide it over the hose fire sleeve to accommodate the clamp with out have a big baggy fire sleeve. All this is before I tried the silver sleeve with the Velcro strips, not that is all we use so we can quickly service, clean the hose and check for damage. Its more expensive but sure makes working in a thrash a lot faster.
my 2 cents.
