Thanks, everybody.  Last year, my age was twice my best speed.  This year, it's not even half.

By the way, your story was a bigger part of my Speedweek 2013 article in the Fast Facts (Speed Record Club magazine)...time that I can add the record, too...

I've a number of friends I grew up with who didn't make it this far.

The river ahead may be filled with flotsam, jetsam, rubble and brine, but I'm a pretty healthy navigator.

For now, I'm content to remain derelict in the backwaters.   :cheers:
