More info on G-Force's 101A transmission.
« on: April 05, 2014, 12:02:45 PM »
I've added to the page....

http://1fatgmc.com/car/14-lakester-1/construction%20page-138.html

.... for the G-Force 101A that I posted about before with items like...

... an explanation on using their Transmission Ratio Selection Chart above and also sources for finding inexpensive gear sets for the transmission and options for buying the transmission itself.

I've added a second page....

http://1fatgmc.com/car/14-lakester-1/construction%20page-139.html

where you will find ...

... pictures of the workings of the transmission and...

... how it can be set up with an overdrive 4th gear and ....

.... generally what is involved in changing the drive gears or the other gear sets.

Also .....

...how to identify the drive gears and the other gear sets on ebay.

... info on the V-Gate shifter that is available.  It simplifies shifting with a rear engine car.

As has been noted before there are many variations of the 101 starting with the Tex 101.  Some of what I've shown would apply to it but most applies to the latest version, G-Force's 101A.  If you have earlier versions be careful in buying parts.  If you are looking for a 101 do yourself a favor and just consider the 101A,
