I call that Pussy Whipped.

FREUD
Not pussy whipped, trust me on that one...
The only comment that she made when I told her I was building a LSR car was that I needed to make sure I had life insurance before running.

Trent, welcome aboard.

We'll get together over a burger - drop me a line.

Chris
Thanks for the warm welcome.
Trying to break away from work a little more often.
When I get some time to make it up your way I will give you a call.

Better make sure it doesn't have an exclusion for racing. Many/most do of course.  8-)  My wife took it a step further saying "it looks like you are being strapped into a coffin!" :? :-P

Trent:

Looks like a good start. A lot of good advice here and some good humor if you keep the right frame of mind. Not sure what your plans are. The Firebird is a good platform but you will use up the usable space real fast. Be sure to allow for some ballast attachments on the four corners, low and towards the center is best. That way when you scale the car you can get it balanced good so you can adjust it drive a little better. It looks like it may have been a race car in another life but over hear weight is our friend so toss some billet and add some iron!

Take a look at Daryl's build over at Breaking Wind build thread. Chris Coffee is an awesome fabricator and is building a similar platform. Lots to learn by studying some similar builds.

Looking forward to the progress reports.

Dr. Freud, my friend, I take say 30 seconds of whipping and then I am free to do whatever I want for the rest of the month!  :-D :-D It has worked for me for 25 years!

Still moving forward.
I am sure everyone knows how things go.  You get some new ideas, want to change things up a little and it backs up things a bit.

I will update later this week.

Thanks
Trent
