Tube beading

Discovered the Mcmaster Carr #7289K1 plier crimpers I just got nibbled a nice hose retaining bead around my 1 1/2" .065 aluminum water tube .

plier crimpers...nibbled a nice hose retaining bead around my 1 1/2" .065 aluminum water tube .

It's not a bead rolling tool, but a wire connector crimper.  I bet it took a lot of crimps to go all the way around.  :mrgreen:

The current issue of "The Horse Backstreet Choppers" has a good article on making lobster back bends using short pipe sections welded together.  An advantage of this style is it is possible to grind the inside of the welds smooth 'cause the pipe sections are short.  It is a good idea to get the magazine quick.  This issue has been on the news stands for a few weeks so it might be pulled off any day now.
