I've seen aluminum bulkheads for fuel tanks in the rear,
as long as it's sealed completely I don't see why it would
be a problem. The easiest way to accomplish a bulkhead
is to mount the cell in the stock tank location and build
an access flap for filling up, or mounting a small cell in
the engine compartment. We use a 3 gallon aluminum
cell and normally get 2 runs on that.

Consider the bulkhead as a firewall:

3.F FIREWALL:
A full firewall to provide a watertight and flame-resistant barrier between the engine and the
driver is required in all categories. All non-production firewalls shall be made of metal with a
minimum thickness of .060 in.. A thickness of .095 in. is recommended. All holes must be
sealed.
3.E DRIVER’S COMPARTMENT:
Beginning January 1, 2014: All driverʼs compartments shall not be open to the exterior
of the vehicle or track surface such that the driver is potentially exposed to dangers
such as fire or debris as well as dust. A rear floor or aft firewall is required in all vehicles
where applicable.

I have several I think. I can send you 1 for 15.00 shipped. I paid 10 at the yard and 5 to ship to you. I can check tonight, or you can find one in any ford from the 1990s in the pick and pull yard. Just make sure you only get a 2 wire a 3 wire is a pain. I'll check when I get home.

     Know any demo derby competitors?

One of the first things the heads up folks pull or bypass when they are prepping a Ford product to run.
