Fresh-air intake
« on: February 26, 2014, 03:59:01 PM »
"All enclosed driver compartments shall be equipped with a forward-pointing fresh air intake..."

By "forward-pointing," does this mean that the opening of the intake has to point forward, into the airstream, like this:

...or can it be recessed into the window (which actually looks backward-pointing to me), like this:

Thanks...

Gary

Keep in mind you can also run a fresh air system. Put the inlet just about anywhere outside the car plumb it through a small air filter and a small duct fan and into your helmet.   Works great.
