Popup Ads on this forum
« on: February 19, 2014, 09:10:08 PM »
One of the members is getting "popup ads on the right side of the screen".  I haven't gotten details yet, but was wondering if anyone else has seen such a thing?    :?

Thanks,

Yup - offer for free credit checks - I'm not clickin' on it, and the program is running slow.

MM, do you know how to do a screen shot?  **Oh, and do you get them when at any other site than LR?**

Also, do you ever get them on other sites?

One ad is for insurance quotes, a web search showed them to be known as not-nice people.

Let me give that a try - never done it before.

No - this is the only site I'm getting pop-ups on.

Just got a new one - "landracing.com recommends" and then there's a picture of Alec Baldwin, Derek Jeeter and the top 5 foods you should never eat.

Give me a clue on this screen capture - I'm running Windows 97 on a laptop.

Windows 97? You must have that secret unreleased version that only special people got. You must mean Windows 98?

Anyway, to do a screenshot just make sure that Landracing.com is the top focused window and hold down the Alt key, then press the Pstscn (print screen) key. That will make sure that only LR.com is the captured Window and not another window running along side it.

Then start an image program like Windows Paint (comes with Windows) and then paste the saved image into the image program. You can then save it to a file and post it.
