Unh, Dak -- would you like me to thin the crop of repeats in your post?  I counted four, maybe five, duplicates in the text portion of the For Sale.  I know you really want to sell it, and I know that it's a great deal -- but maybe four times is a tad much.  Let me know -- I won't touch it 'til you've given me a go-ahead.

Can you supply these two dimensions for me?

It looks tight, but man, if I CAN fit it in there, it certainly would save me some dough in the long run.

Plus, to double as a camper?  For a couple of additional trips a year up nort' in the spring and the fall, I might actually be able to keep the Mrs. on board with this whole deal!

Chris,

From the inside of the rear door (ramp) it's 7' 4" to the first cabinet . It's 48" between the wheel well and the cabinet.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you need additional info.

This is off the subject, but your picture of the bike dolly had me wondering, does it turn alright with it being a straight mount to the hitch, or would it be better with a ball mount?

Experience with both types has shown us that having the trailerette (as we call it) fitted with a ball receptacle that goes to the ball on the truck's hitch turns better.  With the solid mount the bike wants to lean over during turning, and that ends up trying to stretch the tie downs on the outside attachment 9to the bike by the straps) and lets the inside strap be loose.  Without care the bike gets loose and tends to flop to one side.

If I can find the photos I can show you the scars on the bodywork from when it happened.

Not sure if the ball mount would work better or not. I've used this setup for three years at El Mirage and Bonneville and have never had a problem. It wouldn't be hard to put a ball hitch on the dolly and try it.

Thanks for the suggestion,

Thanks Slim and Dakzila, I had a hitch mounted tow carrier I used last year for one pull.  It scared the crap out of me as it leaned over.  I could use it, but had to really pull the tie downs all the way down and still looked out the rear view a lot.  I decided pulling the big trailer gave me more peace of mind and was much easier.  Seeing your trailerette made me wonder about just putting an axle and wheel on my old hitch and then adding a ball mount for safer turns.  Sorry again for the interruption and good luck selling your bike and trailer.  If the porta potties were not so clean at Bonneville, I am sure my wife would have me looking at your trailer for that reason alone.
