Time for an update of the update.  As was mentioned last time, we have the finances in place to make the Test and Tune a reality.
We held a club officers meeting Saturday April 19th, to discuss details and current status.  There are now 43 paid entries with 3 to 4 more indicating they would like to show up.  We have decided to make an entry deadline of May 15th.  The idea is to keep the number of entries low enough to assure those that are there plenty of track time.
The official details are listed on our web site: saltflats.com.  We are excited to give the racers the opportunity to get their vehicles all
"dialed in" for the LSR race season.

Those of you on the mailing list will have received your post card by now. The July Test and Tune is indeed officially on!
The salt has been very wet this spring. An attempt to drag was made a couple of weeks ago, (not by us) but it
has rained several times since then.
We will post further updates and include photos of the salt as we get closer.

On another topic: The USFRA club race car took a trip to the chassis dyno a few days ago...here is a link to the video:

Many thanks to those of you who helped this project come together. We are planning to make some runs with it during the
Test and Tune.;

More breaking news for the USFRA July test and tune.
I just finished a phone conversation with Rick Gold of ERC, he is planning on coming to the event and bringing his fifth wheel trailer.
He will be able to supply gas, fuel and sundries.  If you have any special needs or requests the best thing would be to contact Rick
directly.  He can be reached at ERC (510) 297-5584.

Printed my membership application today -- talked to Terry, Andy and my son  who thinks he can make it!!

I think that we will drag Ms Liberty  up north and introduce her to the salt  :-D

So we will have to get busy and finish my B'Ville axle, and install it
Miss LIBERTY,  changing T.K.I.  to noise, dust, rust, BLUE HATS & hopefully not scrap!!

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."   Helen Keller

We are going to explore the racing N words NITROUS & NITRO!

That's great news about Rick being there! I will call him to make sure he has the blend with him that we need.

Good morning from Utah! We just wanted to let you know that all 4 courses have been prepped and are looking great.
Larry Volk gave us an update at our monthly meeting last night.  He reported that the salt is smooth, hard and dry. The
area at the end of the access road is still a muddy mess, however Save the Salt has made arrangements to have good
salt trucked in to be dumped and graded to make the transition from the pavement to the salt clean and smooth.

Many thanks to the SCTA/BNI and USFRA members that took the time to get this work done.  We are all looking forward to
a great racing season.

If you go back to reply #46 you will see an entry list posted there. We have had only one entry that had to cancel at this point.
That leaves us with 52 entries.  Everything is still looking good!
