We have to also remember this is to the 3 mile, not to the 5 or 6 mile.  For the 400-500 mph hopefuls I'm guessing it will be a good test of systems and acceleration in the lower gears at probably less than full power at WOT.  Maybe WOT but with traction control and wastegates limiting full power.

Not sure what Speed Demon is running at the 3.  I've read that they aren't WOT full power on the motor till 380.  There have been a couple cars run 300 at the 3 that I know of like Beck's roadster but I really don't know what the 400 mph streamliners are running at the 3.

Anyone want to guess as to what top time will be?  I'll throw out a 305 mph.

It will be interesting for sure,

Sum

I'd bet over 305 if the Dalton Jackson Mayer "Flashpoint" runs.

Bob had a couple of 313 mph runs at the 3 that i saved the timing slips for. But I'm pretty sure he was a lot faster than that at the 3, on runs that didn't end up as fast.

I'm driving up for the meeting tomorrow, check in hand. You'd tinkled yourself if you knew what I was doing every day in anticipation of this moment.  :-) Wayno

Are spectators going to be allowed at the test and tune or not.

Remembering right, Monte mention, that there will be NO Spectator at this meet allowed....

now, asking, why I will be there....no, this time I'm not a spectator....I'm with a team....

If you are a U.S.F.R.A. member then you will be allowed on the salt to spectate. We are trying to keep traffic down as this is going to be a no frills event. You may want to have a CB radio or a scanner. Be sure and secure your microphone :-)  As  a member you will get a newsletter,  a patch and a card and access to World of Speed Sept. 6 - 9. You can join through our store at www.saltflats.com. Hope this helps!    Ellen

The USFRA form isn't labelled "2014 Membership"; but I assume the $50 fee covers to the end of this calendar year?
