Looks like you are well on your way to making it .

I couldn't tell from the picture if the spill plates are mockups or final construction, but if they are mockups I'd not taper them but keep then full height (as the rules permit) and take them full height to the axle centerline.  Every square inch you can get there is another square inch that might keep your butt from spinning  :-D.

Looking forward to seeing you guys and the car on the salt,

Sum

We need to get the car finished and do some testing. There is an old air base 2 hours from us with a 3 mile run way.

Is the old air base Blytheville? Stainless and I were stationed there.

Hey John
That's right Blytheville, Ark. We have been talking to a lot of people in the area about a Land Speed track there- a lot of politics involved.

If you can run in both directions and have access for longer than your "shake down runs", you could do some inexpensive coast-down (aero) testing.

Here is a shot of the cap back from body work. Still hard at it. Longer hours. Need to mount cap, install lexan, run brake lines. You know - the list is long. Still waiting for a call about tires from OKC. Have a great day   Don      It's all fun

After 3 long days ol Scaaty is a roller. Got a lot of loose ends tied up. Engine goes in this week. All lexan cut ready to install. Oil and water tanks mounted and plumed. Brakes plumed with stainless tubing. One fire bottle in the other had to go back to firefox to recharge.

Spare 10lb bottle ordered today. At this point it's only money! Don't need a discharged bottle to side line me after all we have been through. But hey -  It's all fun   I don't hunt-golf-fish or fly a kite. I want to go Land Speed Racing. Ol Scaaty  wants to get salty this August. See ya on the salt.   Don
