Bad news for Michael Schumacher fans. He was injured in a skiing accident and has head injuries. Hopefully he will recover.

It seems like skiing is a fairly dangerous sport.
Louis Lachenal, who climbed Annapurna and the north face of the Eiger, skied into crevasse in Chamonix, Sonny Bono, and now Michael Schumacher....

Skiing is not dangerous! More people trip on their own two feet fall and die every day.
MS is a fine skier, just a bit of bad luck. P.S. helmets don't save lives.
Skiing may be the greatest sport ever, as in life accidents happen. Sorry nobody
to blame or sue here. Good luck MS. Ski fast, drive fast, live life now!

Dysfunctional first draft of history here - He's "a little shaken, but conscious" - he arrived in a coma - he is in a medically induced coma -
Wishing the best for Michael - fierce competitor, this man.

"Helmets don't save lives" Well I guess we can take the rest of your post as being as uninformed and stupid as that statement!!

I would also argue that if the number of people whose sole means of locomotion was utilizing skis rather than feet alone, the number of skiing fatalities would increase dramatically.
In fact, I would bet that it would surpass the numbers of those who trip on their own two feet alone.
But I don't know that for sure . . .

Fred, I applaud your sense of political correctness but urge you to quit holding back -- tell us how you really feel.

"P.S. helmets don't save lives."
Been following this on BBC TV, it's been mentioned a few times if he did not have a helmet he would be dead. Sounds like the somebody posted already had a head injury.

I love how you old farts like to be the experts on just about everything you read on the computer. You have the ability to read at a fifth grade level and post on the world wide web. Your lack of education and ignorance just may get you a guest spot on Duck Dynasty. Your generation will die out in a decade or so and the world will be a more tolerant place. Do some reading on a subject you know nothing about. More people die skiing with a helmet then those without. Seriously most of you old clowns know squat. Carry on. Sparky where do you ski? Where do you guys get your info from? Well? SSS really?
