Look up Tricore Metals in Conroe, Texas 888-987-4267. They can sell you a bout load of couplings. In your case you need half couplings, but I'd buy whole coupling so I could cut them to fit.

O.K. Guys.... I looked everywhere.  It seems that female 1/8 NPT -27 exhaust bungs made from Titanium are not stocked anywhere, other than lots of 1,000 ordered from China.  While M18 x 1.50 Titanium exhaust bungs for O2s are everywhere. I keep getting responses that some folks had them on their shelves years ago, but don't stock them now.  You would think that there are 4 bungs setting somewhere.

Surely, someone runs EGT sensors with a Titanium exhaust.

You may not be finding them due to the high propensity of titanium to gall.  Tiny threads+high contact stress+high temperature => single use application.

In other words ... If I do have to make them, make extras.

I called Tricore 888-987-4267  and they didn't have them in stock, but would have them made for an order $25.00 ea. was their quoted price to me for full couplings.

Not unusual for parts to be made upon order for this material.

Hell, if I had the round bar in stock I'd make your parts for you, just don't have that size bar. Don't think you'd want me to start with 2".

I'll give them a call (again, tried once and got no answer).  By the time I order the round bar stock and have them machined locally it will cost me more.

Last night I read your post and went down into the shop to tap a pipe thread that size in a titanium rod.  What a pain in the butt.  Tapping a straight sided hole was impossible.  Then I tapered the hole to the same taper as the pipe threads.  It still was too hard to tap.  I was afraid of shattering the tap.  Is there a way to anneal 6-4 Ti?
