And I'll say right back to you -- that the highlight for us was how many folks we didn't know came up to us for a howdy-do.  We knew lots of youse guys, of course, but now and then it'd be someone that didn't look familiar.  And evidently we are well-known -- because a good number of the folks that greeted us would greet us by name -- and we had no clue as to who he/they were - - at least 'til they gave me the name they use on the Forum.  That's usually the giveaway.

There must have been hundreds of visitors to the landracing.com booth.  We were out there to not only see if we could raise some money for the site* but also to raise awareness of the site to the rest of the public that doesn't know much about LSR.  I think we did that pretty well.  We handed out lots of literature and business cards, all with the URL on 'em, so we might get some new visitors.

*By the way, we were the guests of the show, and that means we did not have to pay for the booth nor most of the trip expenses.  Your donations did not go to paying for Nancy and me to go globe-trotting on a junket.  That would have been kinda unfair, trying to make up all of the costs by asking you for a handful of dollars.  Thanks very much to our benefactor (whom I won't name just now).

Further note:  Our main goal out there was to try to find a main sponsor for landracing.com -- one (or a few) big names that'd pay year round for the privilege of having their company name on the home page and here and there through the site.  We didn't find one for sure, but a few of the vendors there did show some potential interest.

Right now it's back to the snow plowing for me.  Thanks again for all of the visits.

I need to add my thanks to Jon and Nancy. They allowed me to rest my weary feet at their booth and had some friendly stories to
share. They also held onto my new Century of Speed books while I walked around (those books are heavy).  I also got to say hi to
many other friends, and had a great time of it.

Good, good stuff, Dean!  I like the fisheye shots.  Makes me wish I'd dragged mine in.

Good to see you at the show, Ray.  It'd been too long a time.  We saw you -- ready for this, folks? -- we saw Ray taking photographs.  Can you imagine that?

I hope we get to see a few of them soon.  We did enjoy seeing you, though.  And everyone, for that matter.

Talk about mis-indentification!

Post #186, first photo. The gentleman noted as Kent Fuller is actually Harold Johanson, legendary LSR racer.

Got back today from SoCal. The GNRS was over the top.
Seeing  the older vehicles and also the new ones that havn't tasted the salt yet, that I've only seen in pictures was great.  Thank you to the owners and crew who displayed there treasures.   SB

Jon and Nancy chauffeured us around do to Gus and his smart phone guidance system.

What a great show, I noticed that the Land Speed building seemed to draw the largest crowd.

Unfortunately we were not allowed to use the pool at the motel.   :-D
