"Are they giving any discounts to SCTA members?"

It's not Friday yet, you please keep the jokes 'til then.

If what I read is correct, you can get $18 tickets at O'reilly auto parts.

What a fun (?) adventure -- getting here to the Motel 6.  As we pulled into the parking space by the room I looked at a pickup parked next to where we were headed -- and said "That's Glen Barrett's truck."  I wasn't positive 'til I saw the Turbinator license plate surround and the Vesco crew lettering.

It was about11 hours getting here - six in the air and the rest farting around at LAX trying to get to the car rental place - and then enjoying the LA traffic from there to this motel.  Show - tomorrow!  C U there.

Don,

Your Welcome. Maybe, seems like the price is higher this year.

We're parking the 28 Mercury inside, between the buildings on Sunday.  You've got to pre-enter, but the $50 includes two people and works out better than paying for two and then parking, too.  Can bring your "lunch", too.

Hey Stan, now that OSHA allows "Cowboy" hard hats maybe you could talk to SFI about a legal Pith Helmet.
Do you wear it in the Merc?

We're here.   And so are a bunch of very familiar folks, from Tom Bryant to Mike Cook (both father and son) and Steve Strupp and so on.  We've spent the past few hours walking around and howdying folks, and taking a few photos.  Then I was ready to put the photos on the site -- and had a "wooops!" minute.  I sure hope we've got the cord for downloading photos from camera to 'puter.

But anyway -- we're here.  We've got one (of the three) "Century of Speed" books that's available right now.  They go on sale later today -- 6PM.  It's at least as good a book as you could want -- maybe as good as you could dream.  Get one if you can.

I'm going to go look at what else is going on on the site, but if you've got questions (at least ones that I can answer) - go ahead and ask.  I'll check now and then.
