(Thurs 10/10) El Mirage got rain yesterday and the east end of the lake bed has standing water. Course Prep has been cancelled for this weekend.

However we are still trying (despite the weather and the government) to have a meet. If we have to cancel, the decision will be made Thurs17th at the latest. Watch here for notifications.

I just called the BLM office and the recorded message say's the lake bed is closed until further notice because it is still wet.

Yah but -- I'm waiting for the official SCTA word.  (Even if the lake is dry, can we have a tea party there?)  The recording could have been a week old, too.

Well-I put the 540 in, called Nate Jones about picking up my tires on Friday, took some weight out, changed rear gears, base-lined my egt's,washed the parachutes (salt encrusted) found some crew members to go with-STOP EVERYTHING-October El Mo canceled. I the heat is off. November

Put a 540 in and took some weight out?

What'd you have -- a 689?

(Maybe it's a 5.40 gear -- a little short for 1.3 miles of dirt.)
