Just got through to the KOA, already sold out, apparently only opened for bookings yesterday.

Plan B methinks, whatever that is.

We looked at the KOA for last year as had an RV and were looking for hook ups.  In the end we just parked in the car park of the Montego Bay.  For this year we're RVing again but need to find a dump station and water hook up to top up the tanks.  I think there is a dump station at the service station on the road to the salt but need to check it.  I think water will come from the truck stop opposite the Rainbow, again need to make sure first.

Don't forget camping at the museum. I believe there's a dump station there ,too. Check with Mike Crawford.

Cheers Doug, I'd heard from a fellow forum member about there being a dump station at the museum site. We'll check it out when we arrive along with the service station and the KOA as a last resort. Really looking forward to this year! Next year we won't be able to make it so going to take in as much as possible.

The new truck stop/gas station behind the nugget parking garage (shell?) has water, dump station, small rv park and hook ups next to the rv park. Must be the best kept secret in Wendover. We've used it for a couple of years now to fill and dump the race trailer and it seems like we are there all by ourselves.

I heard about the Nugget RV place but couldn't find anything about booking.  All the stuff I could find was just about turning up, hoping to find a space and then paying cash to somebody at a desk.  Do you manage to book a place in advance or just turn up and see whats what?

We just use the truck stop facilities for water and dumping. Usually just pull in and help ourselves.

Is that the Chevron place opposite the Rainbow Casino?  I'd heard there was water there but if it's got a dump as well thats even better.

Does anyone know when the rest of the casino's are going to start taking reservations? I called the reservation number and got "we aren't booking rooms that far ahead yet."

Thanks.

Just booked my room at the Rainbow, also.   :-D  Let the anticipation begin.

It wasn't as expensive as I feared.
