B-52 fuel-tank lakester? Here's an idea of what you'll have to work with:

The whole idea behind a tank, for me at least, is transportation. I wanted to build a S10 truck for modified mini truck. That would require a truck big enough to tow it. I think with a tank I could tow it behind my GMC truck, on a home built trailer.

That B52 tank is huge. Looks like a awesome canoe, you get 2 from one.

 There are two truths.

1./ you are always fatter when you are driving your tank than when you are drawing it.

2./ The only people who will encourage you to buy an F86 and build a car in it are either the current class record holder, or your son, they both know you will never be able to get in it, and if you could that you couldn't get out in time.......

Few understand what I'm trying to do but they vastly outnumber those who understand why...................

I seem to remember you trying on Jeff & Randy's F86 lakester for size on your last trip Goggs!

Tanks are a lot harder to build than a truck by far, ask anybody that's built one. :-o

Record last year for Randy, I think Jeff upped it again this year. I'm a little out of touch.

My street legal two seat tank is a 29" & there's heaps of room in that for the turbo'd 401.
Isn't a P38 tank 36"?

So 24" is big enough diameter. Would probably need to be lengthened, from 10 feet to 13 or 14 feet for a more stable wheel base.
