Nope -- we really did get the name out in the Panamint Valley ghost town of Ballarat.  That's where the "real" SSS hails from.

I still had a better theory in mind as to the origins of the handle, guess that one's out for the more mundane explanation. :?

Doesn't everyone know who the real SSS was?  Maybe not foreigners.......I thought the orginal guy was more famous than Jon, but maybe I am wrong!!
