I stayed at the Rainbow this year and found it just downright nasty. $200 a night with a six night minimum! The front desk did admit that the west wing was a little nicer, but that was full, or possibly reserved for non-racers. Any tips on nicer accommodations, does anyone like the Gold Nugget, or Montego Bay? Thanks in advance.
I'm hoping to some day have a motor-home or travel trailer.
Until then, the Singh Bros at Knights' Inn have treated me well.
I've not found the cockroaches that the French owned Motel 6 is famous for, nor the soiled linen from a previous tenants "Romp in the hay" that my lady and I encountered at Days inn.
The Choice outlet is
OK, but the manager is a real twerp.
A note: All the casinos are owned by the same syndicate (Mythical Italian outfit.)
Best Value was great until they were given enough grease money to sell out to Red Garter, which became part of Nugget.
If the food quality of
Nugget carries over, watch what you ingest.
Subway was open 24/7 during Speed Week; no guarantees for future, but you can get a descent steak sandwich breakfast gut bomb that can be eaten at 80 MPH with one hand.
Avoid The Burger King, unless you have been deprived of SALT. Also, the service is pretty slow for a so-called "Fast food" joint. Good Coffee at Pilot, truck drivers are somewhat picky, and the turnover keeps it fresh.
May share more as it comes to this feeble mind.
