They were going to release Srainless after nothing more than an ECG and listen to lung sounds....he said "to hell you are...your going to do more tests...I have good insurance..."  ... now getting CT scan...

I think the folks need to see pics of car... to understand the forces involved...and other factors from scene...not mentioned yet..

VERY glad to hear that the docs were ready to release him. I have no idea, but I think if I rolled 16+ times going 240+, I'd want to get checked over as closely as possible.

Thanks for updates Joe.

Group,

Stainless will be able to read all later, but he is OK. No broken bones that we know of, some scrapes and bruises, cage was still intact. Not released from hospital yet, waiting on results from cat scan etc. From the video I saw of the accident looks like a bunch of rolls. The car is gone.... Have four LSR tires for sale, one currently detached from vehicle..... I asked Burkdoll if he brought his fiberglass repair kit.....
More to come later.... Haven't release the car back to me yet that may be Wednesday before that happens.

Thanks all whom have sent notes to us.

Jon

Jon, sorry to hear about  this. Am sure glad Stainless is OK.

The Land Speed people are a close family and it shows when these kinds of things happen. Praying for the safety of all of the people out there and extra for the drivers as this seems to be a crazy one. Glad those who have crashed are OK but it still stops your heart when you hear about it. A couple of days left and hope the rest of the week goes better than the last two days. Be safe out there.

A Big "Thank You" to all who stepped forward and offered to transport the manifolds back East for us. A fellow racer has offered to transport them and for that we are thankful. I have quickly learned that if you need something done just ask the "family" and they step up to the plate every time. I am so glad that Dave Bloomberg introduced me to Land Speed racing and I look forward to being there next year with our new car.

Sounds like Speed Demon wont be going to impound, they want a bigger bump to their record.  So if all is fine then they will get back in line and run again today if they have time.

Ya gotta love somebody that isn't happy with four hundred and twenty four freakin miles per hour
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.
