This meet appears to have the worst number of incidents since I have been participating over the past 20 years. Be safe out there folks, it's a hobby!!!!

Interesting course conditions...Jon said its predominately smooth and hard not soft and damp...they were 232 middle mile yesterday with 246 last mile, today 246 in middle mile, then crash....

Jon watched video....rolled at least 16 times...stainless seemed to think he stayed conscious throughout...cage intact, car completely totalled....many more details... ill hold back on for Jon and others to add as they see fit

Monday results are posted.

edit - make that a partial list. All short course runs above vehicle #648 are missing. No run notes either.

Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

I just talked to Buddy and he went 186 mph with the Flat Cad.  They are going to impound.  The car went straight with no problems.  The engine is not running clean and he thinks it has more in it.  Good news.  Congratulations to the crew.

Got a hold of ED said more spins today than in 15 yrs. Said course was good or better than some in past yrs?
So he didn't know why so many spins. Said they were really busy putting up banners.

Most spins between 1st and 2nd mile after start.

Asked about grooves, and he said there was some of that + some loose salt after 3 days on same course.

Said Freddy went 265 and clicked it at the 21/4 and went smooth and straight.

Got a hold of ED said more spins today than in 15 yrs.

I'll vouch for that from an unofficial gut feeling.

I'm on course 4 and I'll have some shots of real slow bikes/license passes, etc. in a bit.

They were going to release Srainless after nothing more than an ECG and listen to lung sounds....he said "to hell you are...your going to do more tests...I have good insurance..."  ... now getting CT scan...

I think the folks need to see pics of car... to understand the forces involved...and other factors from scene...not mentioned yet..

There's been another incident on course 2.  I got to that radio channel late, but apparently the driver/car hit some debris and also a marker.  Car's windshield id smashed, I don't know any more than that at this time.  Driver/car: Dick Martin, car 443 (I think that's the car number...I could be wrong.)  Driver MAY be transported in ambulance.  Not sure at thus time.

Here are the last 4 images from course 4, which has now shut down as scheduled.

Group,

Stainless will be able to read all later, but he is OK. No broken bones that we know of, some scrapes and bruises, cage was still intact. Not released from hospital yet, waiting on results from cat scan etc. From the video I saw of the accident looks like a bunch of rolls. The car is gone.... Have four LSR tires for sale, one currently detached from vehicle..... I asked Burkdoll if he brought his fiberglass repair kit.....
More to come later.... Haven't release the car back to me yet that may be Wednesday before that happens.

Thanks all whom have sent notes to us.

Jon
