Thank you everyone for the updates and the pictures! I am happy to hear that The chassis engineering car is there I was wondering if they made it. I also agree with you ray about the big red Camaro being a favorite. Any speeds from them?

Johnny H.

Glad you are okay. From the looks of the front end of your car it must have been a rough ride.

Ray thanks again and thanks to all that post here. I am stuck in Florida working for the man and I am living vicariously through these posts and the live feed when I can.

I sure wish I could provide speeds with the photos, but the way things work....well, I just don't have enough hands (not to mention feet, cars, cameras and computers) to shoot the photos, then edit 'em while listening to the officials' FM radio (I own a special handset for this) and at the same time, listen to the FM radio broadcast, sort out the wheat from the chaff and write down the speeds.  One person can't do it.  Then multiply that by 4 for the number of courses and...well, it's just overwhelming.  To cover this event effectively, you need a minimum of 8 people; two for each course.

Other than that, it's a piece o' cake.  LOL!

I'm outta here to head for the salt.

It would be nice to have some music or the old race tapes from Ron C when things are quiet just so we know the site still works. Other than that, great work and a huge thank you to you younger guys who can still make the trip. Ray T rat, there will be a check in the mail soon.

I really hate to do this but I'm a new rider with a new bike. Ran out of time before speed week so the bike wasn't tested before I got here needless to say I have yet to run. I did get through tech though. Is there any chance anyone has a bike they would let me do a rookie run on? I know its a fairly tall favor to ask.

Find Scott Guthrie. He knows just about every rider there.

I saw on my facebook page that Lee Kennedy went 235 in the 5 for a 230 something record.  Congrats to them.
