Ray, please don't stop posting pics and reporting. You'll leave a needle in a vein that wont be refilled. Thanks so much for taking your time to post and reply.

To all other posters, thanks for the info, us newbies need the info to fuel our fires. We have 2 cars in the works right now and I cant believe how bad it is to have to just sit and listen and not be a part of it.

Thanks to all of the volunteers and the announcers, we are listening and appreciate it all.

And to the photogs out there, could someone get some pics of the 9913? Thanks!!

Wade

Does anyone know when the turbinator is going to run. Any chance of a picture or two.

Well, the tire subject didn't go over so weel, so how about some race cars?

A little different angle of Dan Aleshire's roadster.

A couple of what Jonny Hotnuts has been trying to convince people is a Fiat X1-9  :)

And the #919 Honda 600-powered liner.

A quick update of all I know about Ralph Hudson:  He was transferred from one ambulance to another at Land's End; he was conscious and communicative.  I can only assume that he was taken to a hospital in Salt Lake City.

I talked to Glen Barrett a while ago.  He tells me that they just got here today and that they're gonna put some stuff together and do tech tomorrow.

The photos sure ain't the best I ever shot, but with the light (and not wanting to bother folks with a flash) they're what they are:

Is there a way to send a note to the stream announcers?  Perhaps an email or ideally a cell to text to?

Some days things go from bad to worse.  After the hatch popping open on the record return, the Poteet & Main Speed Demon team brought the car back to the line.  I'm pretty sure they knew they'd have to re-qualify and try for a return run tomorrow.

Then they had this little fire problem.  I talked to the crew members who told me they didn't know the cause, but to me it looks like something in the turbo area...'course they have the transmission and driveline out of the car, too.

And when ya see Ron Main working (that's his back in the third photo, spraying water to clean up the front of the belly pan) ya know it's a thrash to get it fixed.  :)

Ray, the 9913 is a super, swoopy Studebaker built by Johnson's Hot Rod Shop. Red in color and listed as running C/GCC. Made a turn out run yesterday.

Got a mssg from someone with Ralph Hudson. He's being treated for a big cut on his elbow, no broken bones.

Thanks for the update on Ralph.  That's great news in light of what it could have been.

As far as the number of people on here...well, not much has been happening and I seem to be the only photog shootin stuff.  Right now we've got a cross wind that's keepin a lotta bikes and other wind-sensitive vehicles from running.  I'm at about the 2 1/2 near Impound and I estimate the wind to be around 20 mph, gusting a little higher from time to time.
