Fastners
« on: July 11, 2013, 04:26:26 PM »
Roy at Full bore no longer is going to handle steel fastners---what would be another good source of steel Dutz type fasteners?

Bill, it's spelled Dzus if you go to do a search. Just trying to save you some time.  :cheers: Wayno

Bill;

I buy my Dzus fasteners at Speedway Motors. They have both steel and aluminum.

Sparky, we use chrome ones and paint the heads to match, wash  and rinse with clear water and dry before storing.  No rust.

Jegs has a good selection. 500, 550, 600. The usual sizes. Since we're spell checking ( and I'm the worst speller) its fasteners.I make the same mistake all the time when I write estimates. :-D

Don't forget the company that started it all:
http://www.dfcis.com/index.html

Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Butch at S & S Enginering in Azusa Ca (Ayon Street - near Gale Banks) is still probably the worlds largest purveyor of genuine Dzus fasteners.

For any of you who once bought chromoly chassis brackets from now defunct SPE, Butch is now producing most of the product line.
