Kill switch / lanyard issue
« on: July 03, 2013, 01:47:11 PM »
Hello,

I am a rookie from Austria who has planed to run pre unit Triumph at Bonneville SW next year but latest 2015.
Now I would Need help to comply with the kill switch rule.
I use a B.T.H. TT magneto that provides no possibility for a kill switch or other Kind of interruption. Once the engine runs it first stops when the spark plug socket is revomed.
Is it possible to connect the lanyard with the spark plug socket?

Due to I start in the fuel class (Methanol) I would be deeply grateful to get ideas how to accomplish the fuel shut off (from handle bar) since I have no battery on board.

Best regards
Christian

B.T.H. TT magnetos have a connection on the side for grounding to kill. Just run a wire from that through a switch to ground, that should take care of that.

Christian, I'm curious about where in Aus. you live  My dad used to live in Eisenstadt, and my sister still does live in St. Gallen, Switz - not all that far from Austria.  Welcome to the Forum.

Jon,

I am from Upper Austria in detail from lake Attersee. That is nearly in the middle between Salzburg and Linz.
It´s a small world  :-D

I am quite sure that I need the help of this forum many times in the next month.

Thank you for welcoming
