Heads up on getting here

Typically you would take I95 north until Houlton exit 302 then north on 1 or 1A. However 95 north is shut down for the last 25 miles or so, detours to RT#2 and I am assuming it will be that way when the racers come north. No big deal, and if you get lost some how, just remember RT1 north!

If you take RT1 all the way from Houlton there is a slight change. In Caribou there is now the connector (aka the $21 million dollar road to no where). Instead of staying straight from PI in Caribou you will make a left! The road will merge to one lane, sign says Limestone to the left, so go left. Then straight until you get to Cote Rd, left, blah, blah you know the deal.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on these. I know in Sept., which was the first race after the connector was installed there was a bit of confusion

Thanks for the heads up on the probable detour.  Any rough idea on how much additional travel time we should factor in?

It is my understanding it is only from exit 276 to exit 286 now. Disregaurd about coming out in Houlton. just a 10 mile detour through Island Falls
