Front motorcycle fender?

In the open class -special construction it states "the sides of the fender may fair into the fork tubes, but shall not be over 2 inches wider overall than these parts".

The question is. 2 inches per side or 1 inch per side?

I just don't want to be whacking on the fender in tech....

My interpretation would be if the forks measure 14", the fender can be up to 16". That's just my take and obviously have I no say in the matter

That is basically how I read it too. I was just hoping that I did not have to cut the sides off my fender

Start with a 'Busa fender.
That's what the rules  were written to allow.

 I think you are right I may need to track down a busa fender. I was hoping to use an extra zx14 fender that I had laying around but its a couple inches to wide.
