Does anyone know if Peter was able to drive the 53 Stude back to Canada?

unfortunately, it is not drivable.

says he will be back in the spring.

I saw Peter's car on Paul's trailer Saturday evening at the hotel. Not sure where they were staying but it was in between the Hampton and H. I. E.
I wanted to go look at it Sunday morning but they were already gone. Made me wonder how Paul was going to get the Ranchero back to Canada.
Maybe he left it in Wilmington so it will be here for him in July?  :?

Peter's Stude is still in Wilmington, it was loaded on the trailer and taken to the car wash to blow all the antifreeze ( hole in the rad ) and mud, dirt and grass off the car, and back to the track on sunday morning to load my 3 cylinder  ( lost a cylinder  ) Ranchero and took Peter and the Ranchero home...Paul..

Thanks for clearing that up, Paul.
How much damage was done to Peter's car? I was at the mile when he came through and saw everything.
Seemed to be doing fairly OK with the slide in the grass until he hit the ditch.....and D-A-M-N it was a hard hit!

Are you coming back in July with the Ranchero?

Don't really know how much damage, right fender pushed back into the door, and a dent in the hood where the rad was pushed back into it...as far as July for me, I hope so, may have to sleeve one cylinder, but we'll see...Paul..

Thanks again for the update of both Peter's and your cars (or truck in your case..... :-D).
I'll be on the lookout for you in July! Good luck.

Thanks guys - That ole 74 Iron Head has been a labor of love for 12 years.  Got its name cause it was one day away from being parted out, and was dead, flat tires & all, leaning up against the side of the guys garage.  That's why I can totally appreciate what Truckedup and partner did.   So the Gray Ghost lives on to run with the wind again.
Are we havin fun or what !
