Jet car pioneer Walt Arfons passed away at 96 years of age. He was one of the land speed record seekers in the jet age era.
RIP Walt.

One of the real pioneers.
I remember back in the late sixties Walt match racing Top Fuel cars with his jet,,,,, good old days.

Thank's Glen, Walt never got the Ink that Art did, but if you look thru the History Books aka Hot Rod Magazine circa 1958 thru 1970, Walt was a player..... especially whith the Jado Rocket car.

Walt had one KICKA** jet erngine powered Mercury Cyclone 2 door hardtop!..... I always wanted to believe it was his "daily driver"......
