EFI injector cleaning and testing
« on: June 03, 2013, 08:29:17 PM »
OK guys, I have no stake in this outfit and I paid the going rate, but it was a good experience so I thought I should share it with you guys.
I have looked for this service in the past, found it available for $25-$30 per injector, ship them in, wait a week or so, call to see if they worked them yet, find out in another week or so that they were worked and should be down at shipping waiting to be processed and sent back to me.

Well I did the search again and... this guy was local
http://www.advancedinjector.com
really, so I dropped by Friday to talk to the owner, Curt, could have had the injectors done then if they weren't still in the motors.  He said to call and bring them by anytime... So I dropped them off at 10 this morning, he called at 3, they were ready.
For $15 per he flowed them, cleaned them, installed new filters and orings, flowed them again and recorded all the results on a data sheet (example on website).
This guy is customer friendly and racer friendly.  He said if you had a short deadline to go race, he could have them back out the same day, all you have to do is call and tell him what you need him to do.
I told him Landspeed racers never waited to the last minute...   he said drag racers do.

So I thought I should relay my positive experience in case any of you guys needed that service.  Yes , I paid full price...
yes it was worth it

I have used InjectorRx in Houston. Recent set sent. They got them Friday, flowed Saturday, back in the Priority mail that night and I had them Monday or Tuesday- I Forget. And that was charged the standard service $18 having asked for the same/one day turn around ($25). Tested, flowed before and after, new screens and orings etc. Very happy with their service as well.
