Roadkill Blown Monza
« on: June 03, 2013, 12:27:45 PM »
The Roadkill guys over at Hot Rod Magazine built a blown Monza and ran it at Wilmington.

Blown: Turbo? Nope. Roots? Nope. Vortech? Nope.

5 gas powered leaf blowers.

Video here;

Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Thanks for the laugh Dean. Banjo music kept playing in my head while watching the video. It was cool to see an Arizona flag flying in the pits though. Long way to go from here in AZ to Ohio

I enjoyed the video - partly because I got to see Freiburger, for the first time, wearing long pants and being kinda shaven.  I didn't bother looking at shoes -- was enjoying the car stuff.

I didn't realize that multiple engines were allowed in the Classic Altered class.  I guess if you have the extras in the trunk, no one will see them during certification.

At eastthey're not attached to the drive line. that would be tricky.

So I guess it would be legal to put a 100 H.P. motor in the back just to turn a supercharger and pipe it to the front?  The added ballast might not hurt.

This would be legal?  Or does legal not count?

Sure it's legal -- just not in Classic anything (Altered, Gas or Production).

I think it's great what the car did -- but give it a record?

For another $25 it could have run up to AA apparently.

Thanx, Glenn.  I just did consult the Rule Book.
