I cant find early (49-54) chevy bearing hubs.
« on: May 27, 2013, 11:30:50 PM »
I have early chevy spindles from Speedway. I 'assume' they are modified to accept other spindles although I have no idea what that mod was, how to identify it or other. I have hubs that my father found locally (original and used). Today found that one hub has a pretty fair clip of runout laterally and radially. Clearly the car that this was on was involved in some sort of altercation that resulted in tweaking the hub.

-I want to retain the ball bearing hubs.
-My current bolt is 5X4.75....I want no adapters or to change the pattern.

In truth I am very frustrated in trying to find what I am looking for. I even looked in 'Chevys of the 40s' with no luck.

Does anyone have a location where I can find a hub new or used???

Thanks for the help!!!

All-American Classics in Vancouver or any of the several vintage Chevy stores in town (Cliff's, Super Chevy Store, etc.).

AAC is more fun for shopping

Here are two local yards that deal in classics and both have/had 49-52s on their lots. Should be easy to find, they are like weeds at least around here.
