Chris, nope. Amys Work schedule forbids it. Besides the car is still apart. Waiting on getting my trans rebuilt and Mike Matys engine down my way to install. I need to get off my arse and post some of this years build improvements/upgrades. We will be there in June and Sept.

Needed get get the camaro a bit lower the help the aero out. Picked up some 2 inch drop spindles that just happened to have some Strange slotted discs and 4 piston calipers with them. We are shooting for 175 or better this year so these should help in the stopping department.

Frank;

I agree with Joe. If you replace the brake rotors, avoid those with slots, holes, etc.- they generate cracks from heat expansion. The most effective rotors are just good vented cast iron.

With the car lowered the headers would be scrapping the concrete,  not good. Picked up some Schoenfeld street stock headers mounted them backwards ans hacked them up. Nothing better than taking a sawsall to new headers. The exhaust will exit out the fenders in front of the tires.

Frank;

I'm using Shoenfeld headers,too- their sprint car version.

Just one thing to think about-- in SCCA road racing those header exits wouldn't be allowed. They require the exhausts to exit behind the driver to prevent his being asphyxiated. You'll need lots of fresh air to keep yourself from getting woozy or getting a headache.

Neil, its good that Amy and Angela aren't road racing. There is a 2.5 inch duct that provides fresh air. It picks up air from an opening above the air dam.

Bitchin' Frank! I like it. I'm just a little jealous that your "shop" is warmer than mine right now.

Thanks Joe, the rain does slow things down a bit. Heat and cold I can work in. Snow and rain not so much :-D

Last year we had 2 ladies, one car and one seat. Worked ok but Angela Brenner is a little smaller than Amy. Angelas driving position is about 5 inches closer to the wheel and pedals than Amy so that required moving the seat and installing additional brackets and a mid back support. All that was fine but Angela was still a bit loose in the seat, no pun intended. Mike Matyjasik got Angela a 15 inch wide seat that snugs her up nicely. Taking another seat to the track and swapping them is not what I like to do during my down time between runs but it makes for some interesting compettion between the ladies. Which one gets top speed and sorting who may get a record. The true goal of all this is to get them track time at speed (hope 175ish) and practice with releasing a chute. Pics of race seats ain't no fun so there aren't any.

All done cept for some touch ups . Off to the dyno Saturday to see what Mike Maty's 383 will do. Thought I'd post a shot of where the magic happens,  Jack Scratch racing speed shop.

There would be more room to work in the garage if the car were smaller.  :wink:

I like the exhaust solution, Frank.

Post up some numbers when you get back from the dyno.
