Oh well I guess I'll have to come up with a diff combo as that was what I was thinking of running as I have some of the bits and pieces on the shelf already :-o Great minds think alike eh Gregg

Frank, go for this combo with your Spitfire in MS.     My GT6 will be for the street only.
Yeah about the great minds thing and that is why it was so funny to me.  :-D

Yep Luke there is a sweet spot on the TL's to "bang da gears". I might have to start scrounging parts. Another improvement for next year will be swapping out the 3.08 rear gears for 2.73.

Frank.

2.73's are great for top end, but make sure you
have the HP to push it. We put the 2.50's in the
Camaro with the expectation of Bonneville and
lost MPH in the mile... Would have hit 200+ at
Maxton with a 2.73 or 3.00, only got 196.xxx :(

2012 we had overheating problems. 1. water pump wired backwards at the factory, no shite. no really. and the stock radiatorwas not up to task. We replaced it with a double pass 2 core. man that thing holds a lot.

Made some brackets as none of the stock stuff would work.

The stock steering column was in need of replacement. The tilt mechanism started to fall apart. Real race cars aint got no tilt streeing. So picked up a new column from Trent. pretty nice for the price. Being one that will repurpose parts as oposed to buying stuff the old column was about to become a fire wall mount for the new column.

The old column firewall mount was a conveniant tidbit to use to monut the new column. After wacking the tube and a little drimel work on the lower bushing, it held the new columnat the needed angle and there were no more problems trying to seal the hole.

More streering column. Made the upper mount and viola a new solid steering column to keep Amy pointed in the right direction. total 3 hours fab time including smoke breaks.

In addition to the new column I took out the power steering box after convincing Amy that she could steer it just fine with a manual box. A clean and tight fleabay purchase did trick. aslo gained a few more ponies as well.

Thanks Trent, the parts are spot on. Heres a few pic's of some other things we did "just because".

Whipped up a new gas pedal as the old stock one was getting loose. finally added some inner door panel to clean it up and reduce the risk of Amy getting hung up on something while getting out of the car.
