Yup, rubber is expensive these days. I'm happy you guys don't have to go on spending big bucks on the car now. I've got to find over $3000 plus shipping for the M/T tires I need. Over here that's going to be around 45 grand. Know where I can get a cheap ski mask?. 8-)
Now that winter's approaching what do you do in the "off season"?. Keep well Frank.

Mike, winter here just means I don't have to cut the grass as often. Projects will include, but not limited too, race car prep for next year, new back deck on the house, some resto work on our 71 mustang convetable. Oh yeah, I'll pull the parts for my modified sports lsr project out of storage to layout a game plan. :-D Amy has hers, time for mine to get started.

At least you won't be bored. I tell you one thing, I won't cut grass, not ever. I hate that like you won't believe. The closest I get is sharpening the mower's blade. I'd like to see your project frank, are you going to start a thread?. I had a 69 Mustang sans a motor but sold it due to pressure and if I had my way my old lounge furniture would be my lawn furniture. Long story. :-D
It's 6AM here, beautiful sunrise and I'm ready for work. Big day today!.

Mike, I'll start a thread but first things first. Gotta clean out the garage to make room for the

Been trying to post some vids of Amy's run with no luck. I trimmed them down to the bare minimum and trying to load them on youtube tonight. we will see. There is one on our racing facebook page if anyone does the FB thing. Jack Scratch Racing@facebook.com I think.

HI folks, things got slow, desk top crapped out life in the way blah blah blah.

Didn't do much this year as funds bees tight. Swapped the dual plane intake that came with the top end kit I put in last year for a victor single plane. got some real race tires so Amy can safely run over a buck fifty. :-D a

When the weather warmed up a little we took the car to one of the schools that Amy teaches at. They have a "car clur" for 5th and 6th graders where they build models and tour dealerships, kinda cool. Amy did a powerpoint about landspeed racing and they loved it.

A more robust hood latch. didn't trust a 23 year old factory cable.

Amy noted last year that the rear end felt light, not loose, just light. Sooo I added 140lbs. of lead the bumper this should help. if I need to add more weight it will be over the rear axle.
