Another good trip to the drag strip. The new torque converter really did the trick. The car launches well without Amy having to do excessive leg work outs to hold the car on the line. It looks like about everything is done except for some minor tuning and cashing in cans and bottles for hotel and food money.  With some luck Amy will get her "C" license and I will have new goals for next year.

Congrats to you and Amy.....Sounds like a good trip to the strip!

I'll see you two in Wilmington in September!

Gregg

Currently in Wilmington, OH on our way to WoS!

Gregg, good luck in Wilmington!

I wish I could be there to see you run, but work is going to get in my way!
With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC 1925

A couple of tangential notes:  "C" isn't better than "D" for many female attributes, but in race competition licensing -- it is better.

Stan, remember that "golf" spelled backwards is "flog".  Take that for what it's worth.

As for Gregg (whose real name is Gerry, no matter what he says) - he's now due to stop by at Milwaukee Midget's house today for a visit to the home of the #996 car and to get the afore-mentioned audio streaming gear for WoS.  Yee-hah, I think this is gonna be great.

Vids are coming Gregg, Got back home sunday night at midnight. We don't 10 hour drives very well these days esp. pulling the car. I will say that the weekend was chock full of interesting events for us. More on that later. I will say that we got close to our goal of 150.00 mph with Amys final run at 144.138. Got to break her of letting off  before the line as she didn't want to go over 150.
I'll post links to the bucket when I get every thing moved tonite.

Frank

P.s. Great hanging with you. Next time we set dinner time and place.

Don't get me wrong Frankie, I ain't complaining. It would take us a fat week to head west. After 2 back surgeries ect.and the wife's fibromyalgia we just can't do the road trips like we use to. I hate to see how it will be when I get old.

I didn't think you were Frank. I was looking the other day at how far Wilmington was from here in Phoenix. Had no idea how far it was till then. I'm glad the salt is only 10 hours from here.
