There you go, boys and girls -- a nice, fresh, unused topic so you don't have to go back through a couple of years of posts.  Of course, if you want to do that -- look for "Today at Elmo".

Did anyone get any pictures of the AIR Gas Roadsters?  Please post them as I forgot my film.

We had a great weekend, our 1st run with our slapped together back up motor we ran a "blistering" 98.6mph. A personal best for our team. The rest of our runs weren't to good. Its been a long 6 months off and it was nice to get back at it!

I agree with Faded. It was a fantastic magical weekend back on the dry lake. I'm super happy to be back, and even happier with our last run setting another record for our little team. The magic is back!

I'm waiting for the results from the first AIR Roadster.

Was it a Studebaker-, Oldsmobile-, AMC-, Packard-, Cadillac-, Chrysler Hemi-, DeSoto-, Dodge-, Y-Block-, or even Chevy-powered Roadster that set top time for the class?

There were a whole bunch of those AIR roadsters, but they were going by so fast, all my photos came out blurry . . .

A quick scan of the results shows  none of the 1000s of roadsters sitting around made an appearance, 160 minimum muist be too high.

636 Camaro at ElMo   We got in and through tech on Friday. Roger had to work til noon in Bakersfield so he didn't get there til 3 on Friday. He crunched the cab corner on his Mega cab Dodge kicking the 5th wheel rolling motel into our pit spot..... it happens. We made 2 runs on Saturday. I went 190 and then Mark went 192. We both thought it felt down on power so we put some more timing in it for Sunday. Roger ran on Sunday, it sounded a lot stronger right off the push truck but he slowed down course. We all thought it lost a clutch until we were putting the rollers on. Thats when we discovered we broke the right side axle. We will be back in June for the assault on the 205 minimum

Why would you run your AIR Roadster this year? Didn't find it; but is there no points for #1....If I had one I'd run the record as high as I could in the first meet and foul up the points for the guys waiting in the weeds...but that's just me..JD
