The Bonneville 200 MPH Club has informed us today that Don Allen(1967) passed away.

"I am sad to say that Don Allen passed away. He entered the club in 1967. Don served as President of the 200 MPH Club. Don along with his partners Jay Parker, Leon Griffith, Ray Orput and two sons (Dennis & Duncan) all gained enter into the 200 MPH Club in one of the fastest belly tank lakesters on planet earth."

A picture of the tank was posted on the on the Bonneville Land Speed Racer Face Book page today. If you have not seen the page yet it is pretty cool. Lots of pics of those who came before us.

God Speed Don,

A number of years ago, I had the opportunity to sit with Don and Leon at the 200 MPH Club get-together during Speedweek.... We talked long about that lakester ..... Car 121 was one of the inspirations for my own lakester endeavours....

I just want to say - Don, you'll be missed!...Godspeed and see you on the other side....
