There's no problem running the flex plate unsupported. We did it in a sprint car so we could be self starting and it's rather common in a lot of other oval track classes where they're running convertor less glides. The torque convertor eliminator can bolt directly to the crankshaft.

He  should have enough answers by now. I really like his builds and how he does things with his location in the other down under. Heck of a good job and hope to meet him next year on the salt. :cheers:

Look in some circle track/dirt track catalogs like Smileys and others. Many dirt trackers run autos with converter eliminators.
